Starting this week, Wonder Woman will be wearing a new outfit: DC Comics has nixed the superheroine's iconic costume in favor of pants, a shirt, low heels, and a jacket. Oddly, I think she looks trashier now, perhaps because the old outfit (a stars-and-stripes-themed bathing suit and red boots) was relatively modest for a swimsuit, while the new clothes (tight, low-cut, shiny) are quite slinky for business wear. It's all about context, people.

Business suit? Really? I thought that the comics industry now actually had women working in it. Where do they shop for their business suits, Victoria's Secret?
As you said, it's about context. Both outfits scream, "Look at me!" but the newer one does it in a much more unfortunate manner.

Right! There's something almost wholesome about that metal swimsuit. In comparison, the business suit looks like something someone would wear in an office-themed porn... and it would be removed early, you know?

It's like the "business clothes" they wear in those Vermont Teddy Bear commercials that air around V-day.
