Midnight Secretary sequel in the works

AnimeNewsNetwork is reporting that Tomu Ohmi is planning a one-shot follow-up to her hugely popular Midnight Secretary* manga, which ended this month. This 36-page story, entitled "Midnight Butler", will feature Marika, the icy blond lady-vampire who played a minor role in Midnight Secretary.

*Midnight Secretary came in at #5 on our list of the Top Ten Vampire Stories to read Instead of Twilight--high praise indeed.

I really wish she would make a sequel to continue the story of Kaya and Kyouhei. The ending doesn't seem complete so hopefully she did that for a future sequel.

I couldn't agree more with the previous person who posted (Anonymous). I am a great fan of the "Twilight Series". So this series "Midnight Secretary" is now part of my fave!!! BIG KUDOS TO YOU, OHMI TOMU !!!!

Please write/create a sequel to this. I would love to see their child grow up...and protect his/her mother. Aunt Marika would be a lovely character (protagonist) to this sequel too I believe... Oh my.... am running way ahead with my own plots... but pls. ...pls...pls... a sequel to this magnificent series you created. ( you don't know how many times I cheerfully kicked in the butt nor the number of instances I stepped furiously on "President" big feet... Often I would like to give Kaya a man greater than Touma ( I was cheering on the side for Erde's President Takasu, but in the end I do love them getting together and working together above anything else)....

Thanks again for gracing us with this heartwarming, with an irritating protagonist (no thanks to you Touma Vampire) gift.... (*v*)

Looking forward to reading your other works....

i also agree with the other anonymous comments. a sequel where the focus is kaya, touma, and their baby would be woulderful. i just can't stop wondering about all the interesting adventures and things that a little super-vampire baby would bring.

I know some people would not agree with a sequel because they are afraid it might ruin the story as a whole...but the manga was created wonderfully that even if they make a hundred chapters more, no one will get bored in reading it because it is simply a great story. If all the action(anime) mangas has 500 chapters, why can't a beautiful love story like this can't have more chapters too?
