Man, what a bummer.

GYAH! British actor Michael Sheen has signed on to play one of the Volturi vampires in the upcoming adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's New Moon.

Do you guys realize how I feel about one of the stars of a ridiculous-in-a-fun-way vampire series (like the Underworld movies!) starring in a ridiculous-in-a-bad-way vampire series (like Twilight)?

Betrayed, that's how I feel.

Oh, I don't know. I thought that Underworld was quite dreadful and he was the very distinct highlight of it. I'm sure that it'll be the same with Twilight (though I confess that I am not going to bother watching to confirm that).

Heh. I hadn't thought about it quite like that, but it's a good point. Maybe the vaguely rat-like but strangely attractive Sheen will be enough to tempt me to actually watch a Twilight movie... but probably not.
